Commissioned by the authors of Koi No Yokan: A Guide to Japan, the project began with a desire to refresh an outdated kitchen and reimagine a leftover corridor, ultimately evolving into a harmonious exploration of space, culture, and craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-test-id=\"formatted-input-1\">\n<p>At its core lies a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Japanese teahouse, seamlessly connecting living, dining, and cooking areas. Ground-level seating, a handcrafted massif wooden table, and paper lanterns evoke a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of the clients\u2019 life-changing journey to Japan. On the left, handcrafted shoji sliding panels unify or segregate the spaces on demand. This time, the emptiness gives its place to life, as they reveal multi leveled surfaces in all three axes, each one letting the light travel in a different way.<\/p>\n<p>Behind them, the kitchen <span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">a study of precision and balance. Oak veneer fronts, stainless steel surfaces, and custom tiling sourced for months and assembled with care. A linear light accent connects perpendicularly the cooking area with the dinning. Another uncommon choice, masterfully interconnecting complementary areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-test-id=\"formatted-input-4\">\n<p>This renovation is more than interior redesign\u2014it is an embodiment of sensory engagement. From the tactile textures of handcrafted surfaces to the interplay of contrasting materials, every detail invites touch, observation, and reflection.
