Miquel van Duin (’91) designs interiors for homes, hotels and restaurants. After his architectural studies in Groningen, he was quickly hired at a leading architectural firm. There his interest in interior design and talent for interior design was expressed. Ambitious as he is, he already started his own company DUIN INTERIOR in 2013. As a self-employed person, he experiences the space and freedom to further develop not only himself but also his vision of interior design.
Miquel is an avid fan of Italian and American design because of the stylish eye-catchers and the chic “glance”. It inspires him. Just like his visits to international home fairs such as Salone del Mobile in Milan, Maison & Objet in Paris and the Design Week in London.
The DUIN INTERIOR style can be classified as ‘Fine Luxury’ and is characterized by the use of special, refined fabrics and high-quality materials and brands. In order not to compromise on the perfect picture, he likes to collaborate with partners who deliver craftsmanship and who know about beautiful living. Miquel is also very skilled in product design.
A DUIN INTERIOR design often arises from Miquel’s intuition. As soon as he sets foot in a space, he already has the design in mind nine out of ten times. Clients therefore not only come to Miquel because of its style but also because of its efficiency. Because the big picture is clear quite quickly, he can invest the necessary time in the detailing within the realization of the project.
The work of DUIN INTERIOR is also loved by the media; luxury living and lifestyle magazines as well as living bloggers are happy to publish his interior designs.
