Egide Meertens Plus Architecten is commercially and creatively led and inspired by Egide Meertens. Together with a team of architects and interior architects, they form a dynamic office consisting of 12 people that always searches for solutions for every assignment through a comprehensive approach. Our focus is on private total projects, in which the exterior and interior are coordinated and which we take to heart from A to Z: from idea to realization where one vision of the whole is central. Our completed projects include homes in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as group housing, high-quality government contracts and commercial and public buildings.
Our team guarantees a high level of employee involvement in all phases. Egide monitors the projects, including the construction site, with its own hands and is permanently supported by one or more employees, which makes a flexible way of working possible. With 4 certified EPB reporters in house, we also have the possibility to offer the EPB reporting in our range of tasks and we can also carry out the safety coordination.
Our projects are based on a simple, well-thought-out concept that results from the uniqueness of the client and the environment. When designing, we consciously look for sober, simple spaces with a high experiential value; a design that can be filled in flexibly and where people can live. The result is a solid, frill-free architecture that responds to the needs of the users and their environment. During the design process, we never lose sight of the wishes and requirements of our clients, and we always try to strengthen the project with our own input. We prefer quality over fashionable finds and superfluous luxury and go all out for atmosphere and experience of space.
Egide Meertens Plus Architecten translates ideas into concepts that we concretely shape and realize, in which our pillars of creativity, budget, authenticity, timing, construction management and craftsmanship are central.
For the elaboration, architect Egide Meertens, manager of Egide Meertens Plus Architecten, is the contact person who is responsible for the first discussions and the contractual and financial negotiations prior to the start of the file. He is also the project architect who follows up the design process, the concept responsible for the design and the person who knows the file completely substantively and administratively. The project architect is the point of contact in contacts with the client. He conducts the discussions, organizes meetings, coordinates the design process and supervises the control of the works and deliveries.
The project team is further expanded with one or more employees who can take on partial tasks. Through office meetings, everyone is involved in the project to a greater or lesser extent and everyone has sufficient prior knowledge of the project, which makes it possible to strengthen the design team at a later stage.
