Fellow professionals among themselves 2020

Learning inspiration day in casual atmosphere

Invited by In Toom, Ernst Baas Hoveniers, Bom Interieurs, Remy Meijers Collection, Steven Gorter – Wall Coverers, Wallhangers, Blijmakers, JH Maintenance – Painting & Zawadzki contracting company, Koopman – Bouw & Interieur, Lightboxx, Zilva Vloeren, GV E-techniek, Loodgietersbedrijf Vlugt and Lara Burgmans Interieurontwerp about fifty (interior) architects, designers and professionals went to the impressive premises of Lightboxx located in Nijkerk to enjoy an inspiring, instructive, tasty and cozy afternoon and evening as ‘Professionals Amongst Each Other’.

Once every two years, Thomas van Nielen, owner of In Toom, together with specialists he often works with as an experienced construction supervisor and contractor of complete (interior) construction projects, brings together creative peers in an inspiring environment. Whereas in 2018 the Eindhoven domain of Piet Hein Eek was the setting for the cozy networking day, this edition participants looked around in admiration at the brand-new premises of Lightboxx.

In the state-of-the-art premises, the company with more than 20 years of experience can serve customers even better, thanks to an expanded showroom. In it, Lightboxx simulates different spaces with lighting, such as a store, catering establishment (design Robin Sluijzer), an office and a home. With over 25 specialists, the company designs and realizes unique concepts for a variety of businesses and individuals. Specialties include high-quality lighting concepts, smart home automation solutions and durable stretch ceilings. During the engaging tour of the property, attendees naturally stopped at Remy Meijers’ two-story showroom. A place, albeit one where the interior designer displays the eye-catching Remy Meijers Collection.

In addition to inspiration, opportunity for networking and conviviality, there was also room for self-reflection. Lucas van Nielen and Erwin Dekker of EVO-T took the designers and practitioners on a discovery tour of their brains through a given training session and having them fill out a supplemental questionnaire. “We have discovered that everyone has a neurological pattern; a natural talent pattern of four talents! Our brains weigh 2% of our weight, they use about 20% of our energy and that quickly becomes 30, 40, 50% if we don’t use them to their full potential. We help people and organizations discover, own, understand and utilize their natural power in a fun, enjoyable way!”, Lucas explains. The training provided not only clear insights and entertainment, but also connection among peers. And that in turn provided conversation during the drinks and the subsequent and perfectly prepared dinner. “Building should be a party,” has been the motto of Thomas van Nielen of In Toom for years. That an inspiring meeting of (interior) architects and professionals can also be a party was proven in Lightboxx’s building located right by the A28.
