A caress for the eye

You could call this apartment the female counterpart of the neighboring apartment: a wonderful example of how an interior reflects the sparkling and girlish personality of its occupant. Another collaboration of Devos Interieur with design firm Dries De Malsche.

“Some basic elements are also present in the apartment of the resident’s brother, such as the rounded shapes of the fixed furniture, of the countertop in the kitchen and the semi-circular cocktail islands. But here, in consultation with the client, we worked with more ‘feminine’ colors and materials, such as the green marble and gold details,” says Dries De Malsche.

Christel De Vos adds: “For the loose furniture and decoration, we went for somewhat girly pieces, such as the sofa by Edra, the old pink carpet and the playful pendant lamp by Verpan. The base is timeless, but the loose pieces grow with the resident.”
