The challenge of an eye-catching acoustic solution!
After more than 10 years of experience in the field of leather applications in the interior, Alphenberg knows all too well that a lot is possible with leather. But developing and making acoustic walls that meet the required values ​​is another point. Still, it was something where Alphenberg saw opportunities. And so a new expertise was born that, within a year, we can say has far exceeded our expectations.

Alphenberg started in 2019 making acoustic applications for spaces in which sound and atmosphere play the leading role. A fantastic new development.
In the meantime, we have built up extensive experience in ‘preparing ready-made panels in our own studio’ that, after careful measurement of the room, can be mounted on location according to the standards within an extremely short time. The main function of acoustic applications is to absorb sound.

In addition to achieving the desired result in terms of sound, it is of course a great challenge to also be able to make the acoustic elements into a real eye-catcher. The behavior of vibrations and sound is complex. Leather seems to be made to make acoustic solutions beautiful too.

Our acoustic panels are available in two variants, each with its own character, color and appearance. BARR, with straight shapes and BROOM, recognizable by its semicircular shapes. The base of both consists of a fire-retardant MDF frame fixed on 9 mm Petfelt and can be glued directly to the surface or fixed by means of hook battens.

In addition to panels, we also have tiles in the shape of regular hexagons called HEXAGON.
ACOUSTIC HEXAGON is wallcovering with character. The base is the regular hexagon. A special shape that is both equilateral and equiangular and can therefore be used so perfectly as a ’tile’. Within the shape, an optical illusionistic 3-dimensional cube has been created, divided into strips. A complex whole with a balanced, graphic and, above all, exclusive appearance. The top consists of 100% leather and comes from the top TUNDRA collection by Alphenberg. The leather has a sturdy character with a matte top layer, has natural light shades and is available in four beautiful colors: Grey, Stone, Choclat and Off Black. The carrier is made of anthracite-colored felt and is provided with a self-adhesive layer with cover foil on the back. In this way, a whole or optional part of a wall can be filled in quickly and easily. The tile not only has a temperature-insulating effect, but also has high acoustic properties.
