Residence in the style of the Amsterdamse School
This project involved the renovation of a spacious, but totally ramshackle house in Haarlem, in which all the original features had been demolished. The place was rundown, soulless, unattractive and boring. In the adjacent building, however, the original style had been preserved, which inspired and motivated the clients to take up this challenge.
As a designer, I was free to translate the historical facts into my interpretation of the style. It became an appropriate design style, in line with the style concept of the Amsterdamse School and it integrated their modern lifestyle. The images speak for themselves, and special attention was paid to the smallest details all the way down to the electrical sockets.
