DENOLDERVLEUGELS has designed a beautiful apartment in Amsterdam for a family who has previously lived in various cities around the world. The home is perfectly suited to modern family life. A structure was made of the existing building that is open and transparent. The connectivity between the spaces and floors has been maximized.

Although the attic was originally used for people in hiding, the new situation involves the attic in a special way with the living space. Centrally located in the apartment is a huge loft, which brings daylight to all floors and also connects the whole. Still to keep some elements of the past intact, the authentic beam construction and the old masonry walls have been preserved. The apartment has a large roof terrace on top, where much of Amsterdam can be admired.
