Barn house fitted with slatted western red cedar blinds
The picturesque Zuna, part of the municipality of Wierden, is enclosed between Nijverdal and Rijssen. In this Overijssel hamlet, a country house is equipped with two louver systems made of untreated wood.
The slats of untreated western red cedar integrate nicely into the style of the rural barn home. Untreated wood ages over time. This is a natural process under the influence of sunlight and precipitation. The big advantage is that you don’t have to worry about it.
The 94-W louver was chosen for the façade over two floors. This is a wooden slat with a width of 94 mm. The rectangle on the first floor and the triangle on the second floor are operated separately. Together they have an area of over 20 m2.
The aluminum parts, including the vertical supports, are coated in graphite black (RAL 9011) with a gloss level of 30%. This is in the same color as the home’s window frames.
And like these window frames, the aluminum components feature a fine texture. Which further enhances the exclusive look. The plastic parts are finished in black.
