Barn house with thatched roof in Stoutenburg-North
Realizing your own dream home is, of course, ideal. Do you own a lot and want to build a new home on it? Then you have come to the right place at HaBé. The great advantage of new construction is that you mostly have the freedom to determine everything yourself. So did the owners of this villa in Stoutenburg-Noord, a hamlet in the municipality of Amersfoort. Through the Internet, they got in touch with HaBé and plans were discussed. At an early stage, the construction team was formed, which led to close cooperation with short lines resulting in a beautiful barn home, completely according to the clients’ wishes.
Characteristic rural main form
Designed by Van Middendorp architectural drawing and consulting firm, the house has a clear layout. The main volume consists of a characteristic rural main form with a thatched roof. At the location of the entrance, a special feature is applied in the form of a frame. This frame extends, creating a covered outdoor space. The veranda with angled lines and oak columns is a pleasant outdoor place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
In- and outdoor connection
Precisely aligned and connecting with the entrance on the south side, a skylight was installed in the sloping roof. This provides an abundance of light in the main hall and offers daily encounters with the ever-changing cloudscapes. Views from both north to south and east to west were realized in the home’s design, creating a particularly strong connection between indoor and outdoor, interior and garden.
