Bridge house
The roadside is full of wild flowers. In the summer, the purple cattail and yellow gerik flowers. The Saxon farms, private meadows, ancient fields and beautiful thick oak trees are reminiscent of times long past. This villa is situated on a newly realized estate in the characteristic scenic landscape of the Achterhoek.
Modern terp home
The wide space in front of the decor of the house offers a stylish framework for the park, largely accessible to walkers. The park fits in with the landscape of the area. The landscape architect involved took care of a redesign of the site, back to what it once was: background landscape. To top off the soil, the top layer of the entire site was dug off. Based on sustainability, the land has been reused. The result of this? A terp home. The living area is on the hill, the cellar in the middle.
Sustainable and self-sufficient
The sustainability concept continues in the home. The villa is self-sufficient. The owner can pull out the plug at any time without anything falling out. Applied sustainable installations include: solar panels, roof and floor heating via heat and cold storage, rain water reuse, septic tank, bio cable and Heat Mirror glass. This special glass is also an efficient and sustainable awning. It has a cooling effect and keeps heat out better.
Place for art
The family wanted space for their special art collection. We devised a 30-meter corridor as a connection between the rooms, which also serves at the same time
as an art gallery. With an open space at the stairs and elevator, the possibility of exhibiting paintings or sculptures has been taken into account. It also provides a panoramic view of the landscape.
