Classic interior
An English gentlemen’s room was the client’s wish, but can DE JUUL handle that classic style? Hell yes! Because the English classic style gives space to abundance, decoration and color. A welcome addition to the portfolio and a wonderful challenge for a curious interior architect.
The English gentlemen’s room was built. Includes checkered wallpaper, classic bookcase, custom desk and authentic paneling. Which is to say, paneling that the owner had once “rescued” from an old building and carefully preserved for the moment to use in his own home. Together, appropriate and measured with the old parts. In the end, they are arranged, adapted and merged. Thanks to the restoration of a professional, the paneling forms a whole and is attached to the back wall of the men’s room. As if it has always been there!
The classic colorful style had already nestled in the rest of the house and had to be supplemented with matching furniture. For example, a desk, a side table and a dining table were custom designed and made. The hall was wrapped in burgundy-colored wallpaper with flock. This makes it look like you enter a classic old house instead of a modern apartment complex.
A different style was placed on the client’s wish list for the bedroom; Africa. The orange colors of Africa, preferably lavish. The first proposal was of course a cautious orange glow, but it soon became clear that the residents wanted to go all the way in their theme and opted for the lavish orange and yellow for the entire room. The adjacent bathroom was also included and to complete the atmosphere, including the ceiling. Every morning they wake up as if they are on the African steppe. A summer feeling, even in winter!
