Clean lines, subtle details and harmonious whole in Hooglede
Designed by interior designer Laura Calleeuw, the interior of this home is spick and span. The clean lines, high-quality materials, warm earthy colors and subtle fabrics give this home that wonderful “zen” feeling.
The kitchen island is the central point of the home from which there is plenty of room to go to adjacent rooms. Consequently, the heart of the home has been given great attention. The ceramic kitchen worktop, for example, has a floating effect without compromising its bearing capacity. The seams of the floor tiles also matched the contours of the kitchen island. These small details make the interior a very sophisticated one.
The open character in the home creates a peaceful environment and creates a connection between the living space, the live-in kitchen, dining room and hallway. Each space clearly has its own function, but is not demarcated by walls and doors. This increases the interaction between these spaces. The light earthy colors present in all the rooms contrast well with the dark smoked oak color of the kitchen and other custom furnishings without compromising the harmony.
This interior is characterful, serene and an ode to subtlety and harmony.
