Coming home to Van der Valk Duiven with Dekton® Khalo

Hotel owner Bob van der Valk had the desire to give the hotel bar of the Van der Valk Hotel Duiven a complete metamorphosis. A new layout, warm colors, special materials, everything had to be addressed. Together with interior designers Hans Kuijten and Nijboer, a complete new design was realized with a beautiful end result.

Now when you step into the lobby of the hotel you immediately feel welcome. It has become a perfect blend of a homey and business atmosphere. By using various types of lighting and luxurious materials including, a warm chic setting has been created that will never get boring.

Dekton® Khalo
For the hotel bar, designer Hans Kuijten chose the Dekton® Khalo. This Dekton® color is inspired by Patagonian natural stone, a type of granite that is very popular around the world for its authentic formation and colors. The subtle spots in black, light gold and coffee brown give this plate a unique look. Thanks to the polished finish with Dekton XGloss technology, this color takes on a spectacular sheen and depth, highlighting its complex and colorful structure. This made the material perfect for this project.

The large square bar features state-of-the-art appliances framed by this special countertop. Whether you come for a business meeting or for relaxation, at Van der Valk Hotel Duiven you will feel right at home.
