Country House Gooi
For Gwen, it was the first major project that was allowed to be designed, plotted and executed completely from scratch. After over a year of remodeling, this Villa has gone from a dark & atmospheric home (in a great spot, of course) to a luxurious and bright home. When you go through the gate and enter this home you enter another world - a kind of vacation feeling where you think here is where I don't want to leave - everything is matched in every detail.
The walls have remained but from the inside everything has really been shaken up. With a very thin system, we were able to provide the entire ceiling with a new lighting plan with home automation system, which was so needed in this home.
The client's desire was for a bright, warm and cozy space with classic elements and plenty of closet space. Ceiling moldings and decorative plinths from Orac play and large role in the home and give the whole a luxurious look.
In the wide dining we installed a front wall and developed a custom cabinet in it, with mini LED lights highlighting the accessories & providing extra light in this space.
The "Kids Play" has become a great space for the children who may live and play here. The TV and toys are concealed in the wall-filling cabinet, with each compartment having a separate function.
The massive staircase enclosure was replaced with glass and combined with luxurious wainscoting, a large glass lamp & linen wallpaper, the hallway regains the look it deserves.
On the second floor you will find the children's rooms, each with its own identity but with similarities. The radiators are incorporated into a custom bench where there is also plenty of room for storage. Soft fabrics in pastel shades and bright wallpaper make these lovely rooms to play and dream in.
A custom headboard measuring over 3 meters adorns the master bedroom, and again all materials are coordinated. The Walk In was a project an sich; all the moldings were drawn and designed to the millimeter with an insane end result!
Of course, the garden could not be forgotten either, the pool was given a glass fence for added security and we created several features. At the front of the house a tree trunk table of almost 6 meters, under the balcony a beautiful lounge set overlooking the pool, a natural outdoor shower and another small dining surrounded by bamboo baskets. With the luxurious lounge beds in light tones by the pool, the large palms and pink Bougainville, you imagine yourself in a tropical paradise.
The use of mostly muted tones and natural materials made for an insane end result.
