Craving for bygone times in Woody Creek
The beautiful lush garden, bumpy cobblestone path and stunning exterior of this home are a feast for the eyes. The house here seems to blend into nature. There is a rural feel and the nostalgic feeling of going back in time. The fireplace, the frequent use of wood, the heads of Scottish Highlanders on the wall, the clay stucco walls; everything exudes nostalgia and a yearning for days gone by.
A beautiful technique was used in the floor, hexagon tiles were incorporated into the oak hand planed floor. A playful detail made all the more striking by the sunlight pouring in through the large windows. The unusual and tasteful design provides plenty of character.
The wood, artisan tiles and brocante shower fittings turn the bathroom into a stylish design where you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The cozy sitting areas by the window make for great reading while enjoying nature. Outside feels inside here.
When you sit at the dining table, it feels like you are surrounded by a triptych of painted nature. Only when the wind moves the leaves of the trees do you realize that it is the large windows through which you are surrounded.
But do you really want to enjoy nature? Then you should take a seat on the huge patio here. You might spot some wildlife in the early morning while enjoying a freshly ground cup of coffee.
