DETAILED DINING ROOM
I always get overly excited when I have a project that deals with dining rooms because it is one of my favorite areas to transform.
When I applied the paint to all the interior walls and the ceiling, which I did lighter to create a slight contrast, I didn’t feel an immediate statement as I walked past the room. Hmmm, something was still missing. So, I decided to hand paint acanthus leaves. It was beyond time-consuming but so worth it. Now, with the backdrop complete, hardwood floors were installed, along with a new light fixture, my vision was starting to come alive finally. The intricate details consist of more than the acanthus leaves — detailed rope aligns the wainscoting with tassels that hang freely at the end of each opening to give way to a finished look. The dominant color scheme of purple and orange completes the look.
Spiked table lamps, along with shimmering vases, create a stylish and cohesive vibe.
