Exclusive garden Laren

At this completely renovated villa, we realized a ”mature” garden with character and lots of greenery. In this leafy neighborhood in the Gooi, this completely renovated villa has received a beautiful decoration. Before the renovation took place, we first cleared the garden of old plantings, paving and other structures as far as necessary. After the house was completed, we were able to start working with new materials to redesign and decorate the garden according to the garden design.

Characteristic Old Dutch (step) tiles and steps, baked bricks varied with gravel ensure that the garden is easily walkable everywhere and for variation in the paving. Rainwater from all roofs is collected in gutters and transported through pipes to infiltration crates buried under the lawn to allow rainwater to infiltrate (percolate/drain) on private land. Thus, no rainwater is discharged to the sewer system.

By working with mature plantings in the form of dense hedge elements, large espaliers, roof trees, multi-stemmed trees and column trees, a garden with “body” was created that also provides privacy, but remains in good harmony with its surroundings. Flowering border plantings bring color to the garden year-round.

We also realized a beautifully clear pond with adjacent decking made of 100% plastic to lounge and enjoy the sound of running water, a fresh (foot) bath and reed plants rustling in the breeze. From the lounge set on the decking you have a wonderful overview of the entire garden and all the greenery around you. In the evening, the garden lighting switches on, beautifully highlighting trees and plantings and, of course, lighting the paths and terraces to provide a good view of where to walk.

There is also plenty of space and suitable facilities for the children to have fun; a trampoline, a lawn and a large play area with playhouse, swings and slide to enjoy playing, climbing and scrambling. In this garden, everyone has been thought of.
