Extension with an eye for the future
The wish
The client’s wish was to enlarge the existing 1930s home and transform it into a “life-course home”. A house where everything is available on the ground floor to live without having to use the floor. Comfort, accessibility and hospitality were central to this.
The result
The existing and outdated garage on the side was demolished, making it possible to install an L-shaped extension on the side and rear of the house. This extra 60 m2 created space for a guest room with bathroom, a new kitchen and a spacious storage room. The extension is provided with zinc on the outside: a surprising complementary effect to the existing building.
