Gooische villa on the Veluwe
The architecture of this villa is inspired by the Gooische architectural style, as seen by the thatched roof and white walls and black pot lids. The addition of oak trusses and natural stone strips, among others, gives the villa a character all its own. The same goes for the interior. It is warm, modern-classic, rustic and homey. Remarkably, almost everything is custom-made. No standard solutions, but creative insights that led, among other things, to the realization of large pivot doors, cabinet walls and a special kitchen. The kitchen flows into the dining room, which is located in one of the four end walls. A steel structure forms the base and is complemented by oak trusses – a tasteful combination that is also reflected in the rest of the interior. From the living kitchen there is access to a large backyard and terrace with a canopy that can be opened and closed by means of slats. The outdoor fireplace is incorporated above a glass cuckoo structure. We were able to integrate this outdoor fireplace into one chimney along with the castle fireplace in the living room. Elements like these make the home extra special.
A beautiful staircase with double staircase, located in a spacious reception hall, forms the entrance to the second floor. In addition, the villa has a full basement. The space is divided into a T-shape with three cubes and glass structures with cookies, allowing daylight to reach even the basement. In addition to a wine cellar and large bar, this residential level contains a gym, gymnasium, sauna, steam room and swimming pool. The clear basic construction with many glass walls created long lines of sight from one room to another everywhere, simultaneously emphasizing the spaciousness of the house. As a result, from the “water plaza”-with the sauna and pool-you can look out on everything.
