Hague beach house with international allure
A dream home precisely tailored to the clients’ lifestyle. That’s what Hubbers interior designers along with construction partners have realized for Serge and Willeke.
The design is by André van Lier of DAVL Studio. Interior architect, designer and visual artist. An inspired creative who seeks the edge between design and manufacturability. He constantly challenged us, as makers, to come up with solutions that did justice to his design. And it did.
A great end result stands. On the outside a beautiful family home, inside a spectacular dream home that fits the residents like a custom-made warm coat.
The kitchen is made of oak. The fronts of the wall cabinet are sandblasted oak, stained and lacquered in a warm, dark color. The light stone tops with subpar detailing form a nice transition to the clear oak front of the island. Partly solid wood slats mat behind them “hidden” drawers and doors, and of course the sturdy headwood top stand. Above the kitchen island hangs a metal rack whose underside is equipped with a specially developed light element which spreads even, warm light over the island.
The end wood of the curb is reflected in the table. The bench floats and features round “mooring posts” as backrests. A nod to the coast.
The steeled oak is reflected in the sophisticated Japanese sliding doors of the walk-in wardrobe. The epitome of simplicity through the absence of intricate or excessive ornamentation in form, structure or appearance. Diffused light in the open shelves accentuate the understated but tasteful style.
Of course, a wellness is not to be missed. A lovely space where residents can unwind after a hectic day. The beautiful harmony in colors and materials has created a space that is great to live in.
