Looking inside at Bas & Marloes

The completely new bathroom we were commissioned to design for Bas & Marloes exudes luxury and warmth. Following their ideas, we realized a hotel chic family bathroom equipped with all the amenities. Whether in the generous free-standing bathtub or under the relaxing rain shower with sunshower, all family members can create a moment for themselves here and bathe in luxury.

Based on their wishes and our advice, we created a layout for the all-new bathroom. We placed the toilet in a separate partition, freeing up more space in the existing bathroom. The space has been maximized by positioning the bathtub on the side of the sloping ceiling. By placing the bathtub slightly off to the side and choosing a freestanding faucet with it, the space appears optically larger. We also enlarged the situation in front of the shower, and with a custom-made glass wall we created a practical and stylish partition here.

After working out the floor plan, we went together to find their personal style and work it out. As a base, Bas & Marloes chose floor and wall tiles in a light, neutral color scheme. Against that, we put dark tones, such as the black door, black radiator, black window coverings and Azalai’s black tiles. To this stylish contrast, we added bronze and gold accents. The bronze color is reflected in all the faucets, accessories and the veins of the dark tile. Thus, it spreads a warm glow throughout the room and simultaneously creates a beautiful interplay of the various elements.

The Elise brand sink cabinet is both a stylish and practical choice. It is completely in harmony with its surroundings and, thanks to its deep drawers, offers plenty of storage space for all the family’s care products. The giant, round mirror above the sink and the sturdy vanity are a deliberate choice. In fact, the large gestures add calm to the overall look; in addition, this mirror, with LED lighting, and the floating furniture below it have the visual effect of making the room look larger.

In addition to a personal and timeless look, Bas & Marloes had a distinct preference for the style hotel chic. With gold mosaic, we made a style statement.

Both the niche in the shower room and the toilet used this wall covering. The shimmering effect here is enhanced by the LED lighting concealed in the niche.

Gold toilet
We extended the elegant atmosphere from the bathroom to the new toilet room. But this just allowed for a little more. A white toilet, white pressure plate and white sink were deliberately chosen. These break the color palette of black and gold. The recess in the back wall makes the room seem taller. Placing a spotlight in it makes the gold relief mosaic stand out even more. Thanks to the gold wallpaper on the walls, the smallest room now exudes ultimate glamour.
