Located in Willemstad, opposite a residence of Willem Van Oranje and surrounded by the green ramparts, is a 1970s villa transformed into a beautiful family home. The owners, a family with three small children, had a clear vision to transform this outdated property into their dream home.

Despite their good taste and clear preferences, they struggled to translate their ideas into a cohesive interior. Working with Rotterdam architect Arjen Reas, we had the opportunity to design a complete plan for the house. Both the ground and upper floors, including children’s bedrooms and a second bathroom, were thoroughly renovated.

The owners like a chic, dark style with a splash of color. This became the basis for the interior design, with dark oak as a recurring element throughout the house. To keep things from getting too heavy, we added a calm base of sand and greige tones, complemented by vibrant green accents and gold and brass details.

Thanks to cooperation with specialized suppliers and craftsmen, we were able to realize this project down to the smallest details. The result is a cozy, warm and luxurious family home that is both comfortable and stylish. It is a place where the owners and their children can relax, read, watch movies and enjoy themselves. It is a home perfect for hosting friends for drinks at the large kitchen island or hosting family dinners at the large dining table.
