Luxury residential farmhouse
Grafted on ancient roots. In an idyllic yard stood an old, dilapidated farmhouse with lots of character, but in very dilapidated condition. The replacement new building sought to preserve character and provide more space and comfort. The best of both are brought together in this residential farmhouse. The house is built on the basis of an oak truss that recurs throughout the house. The front house, with its original facade layout, is constructed of hand-formed gable brick. The large window frames in the front facade are equipped with appropriate, functional shutters. The back house is finished with black siding, reflecting the farmhouse’s agricultural roots. In the rear house, large glass windows were installed in the area of the living kitchen to maximize contact with the garden and landscape from the living space.
