Modern extension of a classic townhouse
The entire layout of this Amsterdam townhouse went up, and thanks to a new extension, more living space was added. BNLA architects designed the modern addition of white stucco with large steel facades over 3.5m high. The steel doors are reflected in the interior, perfectly balancing modern and classic. The new kitchen was placed in the heart of the house, and thanks to a large skylight in the extension, daylight falls far into the house. The exposed beams create a special play of light and shadow. Long sight lines from the front room to the garden create a spacious feeling.
