Modern wellness garden in Marbella style

“” Our wish is to have a garden realized that perfectly matches the style of the home overlooking the swimming pool. The garden should give us that wonderful holiday feeling. ”Those were the wishes of the owners of an empty lot at that time. The building plans of the house were already ready. Even before a shovel went into the ground, the garden design was already being considered. This was important so that we could optimally integrate the house and the garden from the start. That would ensure that a number of activities could be carried out in one go.

There was also a wellness area with a sauna, shower, toilet and technical room for the swimming pool. Furthermore, several terraces would be created to fully enjoy the garden.

From the start, Garden and Landscape Designer Erik Knops took the lines from the inside out into account. This by placing the pool so that it would be in line with the tiles and the house. The ceramic tiles would run through the house from the inside out. This would ensure an optimal connection between garden and home.

The architect of the house designed an integrated roof with a recess in the roof. “I thought it would be cool from the start to get a tree through here,” said Erik. “You feel that the greenery is already in the living room”. The roof offers space for a spacious Borek dining table with no less than 10 seats.

The clean white lines of the house are extended in the garden. This by mounting a custom aluminum frame above the pool. A true eye-catcher, which immediately focuses on a work of art at the end of the garden. The U-shape chosen is a copy of the back of the house and will also be used by Erik at the pool house. The sleek pool house is fully equipped. So you can relax comfortably under the roof and an outdoor fireplace with integrated TV has been chosen. To create some openness, slats from Livium were chosen on the side wall. The wellness area is equipped with all necessary luxury. Both during the day and in the evening it is a feast for the eyes.

Lines are central to the entire garden. For example, a long hardwood deck was chosen to connect the pool house, the swimming pool and the terraces.

Tightly shaved slope bodies
The garden is sleek and modern. Yet playful effects have been added in the form of tight green slope bodies, planted with yew. These elements also connect the paved and unpaved spaces with each other. For example, a Taxus cloud runs through both the pavement, the deck and the lawn.

Polyester decorative bins We are increasingly working with polyester decorative trays. Large and small sizes have been chosen in this garden. The white color gives nice contrast to the green. The large trays are set with multi-trunk trees with strategically placed ground spots and ornamental grasses have been chosen as ground cover. For the remaining trees, evergreen holm oak has been chosen at the rear of the garden. This way you have the same picture in both winter and summer.   The rear wall of the garden is made of vertical slats from Larixhout. These are sprayed in black stain so that the flaming pattern of the wood becomes more visible and all the greenery for the wall comes into its own.   Swimming pool The swimming pool is fully equipped. The special feature of this pool is that it has opted for a seat in the water and an integrated staircase. The seat offers the possibility to place two sun loungers in the water so that you can enjoy the water and the sun, especially on warm days.   Lighting thought through in detail The trees are provided with ground spots through which the trunks are highlighted. The swimming pool is equipped with RGB lighting which makes every mood possible. The pool house is also completely lit.   Gate and fencing A special made-to-measure fence has been placed at the front of the house. Powder-coated aluminum tubes of 9 × 9 cm protrude from the ground, reinforced by aluminum columns in the style of the home. The gate is completely mechanical and equipped with the latest technologies.
