New construction Goeree-Overflakkee
In the middle of the polder on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee, this modern home was built. The residents had been planning to build their own home for some time, and after going through the municipal procedures, they were finally able to begin. Because the house is in the middle of the polder, where the wind has free rein, the choice was made to use high-quality materials that will stand the test of time.
The residents chose as flooring a natural stone floor of Burgundy dales. This is French limestone which is composed by the quarry on color selection. Due in part to the fact that this natural stone floor is a harmonious combination with the wooden elements in the home and its easy maintenance, the residents chose to install it throughout the first floor.
