New momentum for villa garden

The question in this assignment was to renovate the garden at this villa home. The clients wanted an update of the garden as well as better integration of the existing pool and pool house.

The existing terrace was not used because it was not pleasant. In our design, we turned it into a green space with roof trees. We also brought more greenery around the pool, interspersed with various lounging and sitting areas. Furthermore, we brought pruning forms into the garden in combination with ornamental grasses. Thus, the classic garden receives a contemporary transformation.

We converted the tarp over the pool from upright to recessed. A wide staircase provides a better link between the terrace and the upper garden.

For the elaboration, we chose durable materials such as baked clay clinkers, bluestone, … In doing so, we stayed in line with the house to avoid a break in style.
