Oak flooring for a warm look

This house has a cast floor with an industrial look on the first floor, which the residents wanted to alternate with a warmer interior on the upper floor. The house, which dates from the early 1900s, was fitted with an oak floor by Theo van Epen of the well-known Di Legno brand. This herringbone floor fits well within the modern style of the home. The dark wood floor, whose color is obtained through a special treatment, provides the warm look the client was looking for.
