Oogenlust
You don’t know where to look first
Crystal clear tones lead visitors from the parking lot, along the water and across the bridge to Oogenlust’s store and showroom. The beautiful, surprising decorations with colorful flowers, rough and sometimes fragile branches, stones and other natural products are a feast for the eyes.
Music is like a soft blanket enveloping visitors. The combination of what you see and the beautiful sounds enveloping it all take the experience to the next level.
Marcel and Monique van Dijk have managed to use the enormous spaces in their new building in a special way. The high ceilings make Oogenlust’s headquarters, showroom, warehouse and shipping area imposing, light yet cozy.
Acoustics and sound
Sounds are recorded unconsciously and they influence our behavior more than we think. Monique and Marcel are well aware of this. They noticed the effect of beautiful music on people’s moods and found the perfect partner in Bowers & Wilkins. With a clear understanding of the emotion of beautiful music, they worked together to find ways to implement their wishes in unobtrusive sound design throughout the Oogenlust domain.
In Oogenlust’s building, Bowers & Wilkins CI700 speakers are integrated into the side walls at a high level. Sound reproduction is unparalleled and completely balanced due to the off axis positioning of the woofers for bass and mid-high. Everywhere you walk, the music seems to wrap itself around you, forming the perfect combination of seeing and hearing in this supreme world of experience.
The AM-1 speakers mounted outside on the facades are almost design objects. They are custom sprayed in a durable, bullit gray coating that reflects the natural look of Oogenlust.
