Parental home with a new look
The wish
The client wanted to live in his parental home, but the building was allowed to have a completely different, more innovative atmosphere. He also wanted to use all the space that was available. In addition, the top floor also had to be habitable.
The result
We have given the building a total facelift, in which two different materials played a leading role: Belgian bluestone and wood. The effect is great due to the complementary effect of this material. Raising the hood by a meter also made the loft habitable. The ground floor has been enlarged with an extension, which is equipped with a wooden facade cladding. This wooden facade embraces the existing house. The rest of the facade was given a new coat of Belgian bluestone. Raising the roof by a meter also made the second floor habitable.
