Penthouse M Lokeren

The assignment was to give a penthouse floor more openness. In the existing situation, there was a lot of daylight, especially in the living room, but the dining room in particular remained very dark. By relocating the existing storage room and making it more compact, space was created for the new through-sun kitchen. In this way, the kitchen now connects both sides of the penthouse, being the living space and the dining area. The presence of a lot of sunlight allowed us to work with a dark floor finish. A white box was placed in the center of the room, which was equipped with all kitchen appliances on the kitchen side and a fireplace with a storage room on the inside at the level of the living room.
