Powder room
Location: Groningen
Realisation: 2020
DUIN INTERIOR enriched the entrance of a historic house from the fifteenth century with a spectacular private space for the lady of the house and her friends. The powderroom designed by Miquel van Duin exudes luxury, beauty and comfort. By demolishing floors, the luxurious space has an enormous height, which is emphasized by the mood-enhancing lighting of Maretti. The view of the historic beams and the classic, round windows in the facade complete the wonderful atmosphere.
The concrete stucco applied to the walls contrasts beautifully with the dark wood of the custom-made object, in which Miquel designed a wardrobe space and a toilet. The round shape of the impressive piece of furniture surprises and gives a nice touch to the room. Just like the glass ceiling that has been placed on the black unit, so that you also have a view of the lighting and the beautiful height of the room from the toilet and the wardrobe space. The custom-designed washbasin – the stylish top is made of ceramic – is placed over the entire width of the powder room and is enriched with mirrors of no less than three meters high. All this together creates a special and luxurious overall picture and an enviable place that in many cases is the starting point for a pleasant evening out.
