Let a charming thatched-roof villa retain its authenticity and combine it with modern architecture? No problem. In consultation with the building owner and owner’s wife, we worked to preserve the classic elements of the house. We worked with the Old Flemish profile to add character to the front facade. The back facade of the home consists of large glass windows and a beautiful sliding window that literally welcomes the garden indoors in the summer. The wood joinery was varnished black on the outside which adds much-needed character to the home. To keep the interior light and spacious, we coated the interior joinery with white paint.
