Renovation of Historic Farmhouse
This beautiful historic farmhouse was completely renovated while maintaining authentic details. One of the most important details of this farmhouse are the floors. An old farmhouse requires special floors. They should enhance the authenticity of the farm. At the same time, the floors must be livable and attractive.
In the living room, an aged slate with a beautiful dark color was chosen. Because these tiles are manually sanded and aged, they have a beautiful lived-in look. To give the seating area some extra cachet, a frame made of pebble stones was chosen.
In the hall, a white/black checkered marble floor was chosen. The authentic marble matches perfectly with the wood and steel details in the hall. This floor was extended into the bathroom.
In the kitchen, a large format French limestone dalle was chosen. The beige color of this floor gives the kitchen a cozy and warm feel, which was important because these people spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
Again, a wonderful project with a brilliant end result.
