The former farmhouse near Kortrijk was transformed into a rural villa with modern touch, while retaining its original charm. Dumobil villa construction was responsible for the renovation and new construction. The exterior façade is dressed with old paepe stone and afzelia wood windows, while the old tree roof tiles emphasize the typical character of the rural setting. Inside, the warm style continued into the interior with wood, light tones and dark color accents reinforcing each other. Large windows maximize connection with the surrounding nature. This resulted in a rural villa with a modern look, built with the latest materials and techniques. Thanks to Dumobil’s advice, sustainable solutions such as a solar water heater, underfloor heating and a type D ventilation system were also chosen. Communication between all parties involved was extremely smooth, and Dumobil’s personal approach and flexibility were greatly appreciated.
