Symmetry with playful accents in Utrecht
When designing a new mansion, there is a certain responsibility, a duty to create something timeless that can also serve future generations. Here this was achieved by breaking up the rigid symmetrical structure of the facades with conservatories and bay windows. The result is a tough country house, but one with tremendous living quality. With its fresh color scheme, this modern country house shows itself powerful from all sides. The layout of the home that includes a spacious sunroom and porch creates a variety of spaces, each with its own character and use. Also, along with a high ceiling height, these elements provide ample light. Details have been worked out with passion: refined bay windows and puiver dormers, a natural stone plinth, a special staircase. Estate status also brings with it a certain expectation regarding landscaping. In the outdoor space, too, plenty of different spots were created: some more intimate like the porch or the area around the pool, others more with views through sight lines toward the large pond at the rear.
