Tasting Room in Everberg
“The perfect space for cozy parties”
The owners of this unique tasting room in Everberg love atmosphere and conviviality. These wine lovers regularly invite friends and family to taste the most delicious wines with accompanying tappas and tasty snacks. They have a beautiful outbuilding with enough space for a long table that can easily accommodate ten guests or more. In this room you can party without restrictions.
Join seamlessly
The spacious party space – designed and realized by Heritage Buildings – connects seamlessly with the existing home. The space was given a unique authentic look thanks to the oak supporting structure with the mortise and tenon connections. This means that not a single screw or nail is incorporated in the supporting structure.
The oak comes from Sussex, a specific region in the English countryside. This oak is characterized by an extreme hardness, which means that the lifespan of these oak constructions easily exceeds several generations. No maintenance is required to keep the extension in top condition.
Simplicity in design and finish
The interior walls and ceilings were expertly finished with epicea wood, without further processing to enhance the natural look. This was a conscious choice of the owners, because painting in a desired color or possibly processing with a color oil belonged to the options. In combination with the blue stone floor and white intermediate stops, this choice creates a natural interior that excels in simplicity.
For the large windows overlooking the garden, the owners opted for black with a steel look. However, don’t be fooled, these are indeed wooden windows. Real steel windows are also a possibility, but require a higher investment. On summer days, these large double windows can be opened completely and provide a wonderful outdoor feeling in the party room.
Covered patio cover
This project was not limited to a covered and fully lockable party room. Adjacent to the party space, a covered patio roof was built in an L-shape. Structurally, this has exactly the same structure as the party room, only the patio cover at the front is completely open. Together, the party room and the covered patio roof form a beautifully connected whole.
