Thatched villa with great view over the Loosdrecht lakes
Nature and water sports come together on and around the waters of the Loosdrechtse Plassen. Extraordinary birds, plants and the polders make the view more than worthwhile. And in both summer and winter there is plenty to do for boaters, hikers and – with any luck – skaters. Living here is obviously top-notch. Especially if you also have your own home built that is designed entirely to your specifications. This traditionally built villa blends in perfectly with its surroundings, with its thatched roof, matte-glazed slate tiles, white stucco facades and cladding of black wolmanized larch wood. The home was designed by EVE Architects.
Fantastic view through many windows
The home offers an unparalleled experience of waterfront living in a breathtaking triple A location, overlooking the water from every room in the house, culminating in the garden room with special frontage that can be opened all the way. HaBé handled the entire construction project, from demolition to completion, including the kitchen, bar and various built-in cabinets. The villa is characterized both internally and externally by an open character. The many windows give a fantastic view to the garden and water.
Successful style combination
Plastered facades and a thatched roof, a successful style combination. Specific details add to the home. Among other things, the front door is clad in oak. The aluminum window frames coated with textured paint. The masonry plinth executed as rolling layer, here the long masonry stone is processed standing. Triple and solar control glazing has been applied. The concrete terrace special coloring. The drains made of patinated zinc and a bluestone spekband incorporated at the transition stucco to the Douglas siding.
Outbuilding with its own character
Attached to the house is an outbuilding with its own character, sleek, minimalist and well detailed. This annex deserves special attention, the upscale bar area was sleekly decorated with a greet amount of luxury and is a sight to behold. Oak was chosen as the ceiling covering. The old oak pieces, like the fireplace, breathe atmosphere.
Delightful wellness area
Furthermore, the outbuilding offers a wonderful wellness area with steam shower and a practical utility room. Directly adjacent to the outbuilding and the house is the spacious luxurious veranda, completely closed by glass folding walls. Built into the porch is a Home Fires braai, a combination of kitchen and fireplace, this braai guarantees coziness and atmosphere. The interior space was made extra comfortable with ceiling heating. Besides the luxury villa with veranda and the outbuilding, there is a boathouse on the plot on the waterfront, which was completely renovated by HaBé.
Very high level of finishing
The level of finishing of the villa is of very high quality. Whereas the exterior was given a traditional slant, a more modern design was chosen for the interior. We see a combination of wood and steel, for example in the doors. The front doors are made of oak, while steel pivot doors connect the different rooms. The obtuse interior doors feature concealed hinges and magnetic locks. Some doors have a modern gadget: they are controlled via fingerprint. So they can be locked without a key. The oak parquet floor in herringbone pattern matches it perfectly. This is interspersed with large-format ceramic tiles. As a striking accent, the tunnel fireplace/TV wall uses luxurious leather from Alphenberg. Several recessed spotlights and speakers are incorporated into the stucco ceiling.
The decor was done wonderfully by Maison Manon, with warm colors and materials. An oak Z-staircase leads to the second floor. On the two upper floors we find five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Each bedroom received a hotel solution with its own bathroom and closet walls, but the master bedroom received an extra: a large walk-in closet and bathroom. As on the first floor, these floors have oak parquet flooring. All bedrooms also offer enchanting views of the Pond.
Home automation system and air source heat pump
The entire house is equipped with a home automation system. Home automation provides communication between electrical applications in and around the home. Home automation controls various functions such as heating, ventilation, lighting, alarms and television viewing. This is done flexibly: at any place and time that suits the residents. The great advantage of a home automation system is that quietly and in the background, it increases living comfort and convenience. The villa is heated by means of an air heat pump combined with a heat recovery system (WTW). An air-source heat pump heats the home using outside air. The heat exchanger utilizes residual heat from hot (shower) water. An air-source heat pump operates very energy efficiently because most of the energy needed comes from the outside air.
This villa was realized in a construction team, with those involved working together from the beginning, to achieve the best result of the intended home. The client rated us a whopping 10.0 on Bouwnu.nl and posted the review below.
Top builder. Excellent company that keeps its promises; good entrepreneurs with good employees and excellent subcontractors.
