Tough forest garden Ermelo

In Ermelo, we created a real woodland garden for family Bos that involved a lot of forestry. Forestry, which is normally the maintenance of a forest. But if you create a garden for the Bos family, located in a forest and it’s a tough garden with a lot of architectural elements, you could call it a Forest Garden.

It has become a deliberately tough garden with many multi-stemmed trees, a “mancave” fire pit surrounded by seating made from a tree cut down on site and an enclosed play and sports area for the children. We were able to indulge our passion for building with wood: a large porch made of wood, a carport and a terrace delineation that not only contours the terrace, but can also serve to support a tarpaulin canopy.

House and garden were existing, but both were subjected to extensive remodeling. The whole thing is completely balanced as far as we are concerned. With paths of baked bricks (reused from the old garden), large ceramic tiles for the terrace. The complete complex of house, outbuildings and garden blends naturally with its surroundings. It has been a big job that we have worked on with heart and soul, which is why we are proud of the result. Because it is so cool, so different and yet so completely balanced. As if nature itself dictated the design….
