What used to be a church…
When a former church is turned into a new living space, something unique is created. The location of the former church directly on the forest and moorland landscape is unique. Within the odd shape of the plot, the choice was made to break up structured lines with round “clouds” of Holly and Yew, creating a perfect fit with the unstructured nature of the surroundings. The heather is reflected by the lush ornamental grasses in the garden. And the characteristic multi-stemmed trees provide the perfect connection to the wooded landscape. Much nature around the home is evergreen, so is the garden. But like the heather, the garden will show a purple nuance in summer.
