An elevator door fireplace: a fireplace that can be closed by a sliding glass plate. It makes you feel safer because the flame can be behind the glass and gives more efficiency. The glass is protected against 1300 °C.

When the glass plate is closed you get more efficiency because of the convection grates, in bad weather the fireplace can still be lit because the glass plate can be at various heights. A fully home automation/wifi app or separate remote controllable glass elevator door simplifies the opening and closing of the fireplace. The flames easily disappear behind the glass. No more unsafe situations, think splashes from the wood fire.

The glass panels have been manufactured with fixed sizes by default until now. This gives limitations because often the size does not fit your living room. Or you see a beautiful fireplace and the elevator door system won’t fit it because of the standard dimensions. From now on, that will be a thing of the past.
