The story of Quooker began in 1970. Rotterdam native Henri Peteri was working at Unilever when he had an idea that would change his life forever. It happened during a presentation about instant soup. \u201cAnd that needs water that has to boil on the stove for five minutes?\u201d Peteri thought. \u201cWhat madness! Why don\u2019t our homes have boiling water coming from the mixer tap?\u201d Once back home, Peteri headed down to the cellar to develop a prototype of the world\u2019s first boiling-water tap. In 1992, the first Quooker (\u201cquick cooker\u201d) was introduced in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
