Long strips of glass sit beside more enclosed wall sections, and the dark frames set a firm grid against the white plaster. One part of the house reads almost like a glass extension, with a serre-like volume projecting from the main body. That move gives the villa a more open face toward the garden without losing the massing of the house itself.<\/p>\n
The glazing also changes how the villa with thatched roof is perceived from outside. Reflections shift across the panes, while the darker frames keep the openings legible. The house feels grounded by the roof and lightened by the glass. The route to the entrance is not presented as a straight reveal. A path and terrace zone sit under the thatched volume, and the paving leads the eye toward the door in a measured way. The glazed sections beside it make the threshold feel deeper, as if the house opens in layers rather than all at once. This is where the modern country house shows its more controlled side: the entrance is framed, not announced.<\/p>\n
Because the entry area sits under the roof, the thatch reads here as a sheltering layer rather than just a cap. The darker frames, the pale walls and the paved surface keep the composition restrained. Nothing is exaggerated. The attention stays on the route, the opening and the weight of the roof above it. That simple sequence gives the villa with thatched roof a strong first impression in the garden.<\/p>\n
Beyond the house, the lawn stretches out in broad areas that keep the setting open around the villa. Planted edges soften the perimeter, and the garden does not crowd the building. Instead, the villa sits inside a generous outdoor field where grass, paving and planting each have a clear role. The lawn and terrace landscaping supports the building rather than competing with it.<\/p>\n
The swimming pool in garden becomes the clearest counterpoint to the house. Its straight waterline and surrounding terrace introduce a more horizontal layer beside the sloping roof and vertical glazing. Sun loungers and seating areas sit close to the water, so the outdoor space is organised for moving between the house, the terrace and the pool edge. The composition is calm, but not static; every element has a place in the view.<\/p>\n
The terraces sit directly against the villa and widen the usable ground floor edge. Hard surfaces, low furniture and the pool terrace create a series of outdoor rooms without enclosing them. One terrace runs close to the large openings, another reads as a pause between the lawn and the water. The thatched roof terrace ties these layers together by marking the parts of the house that are most closely connected to the garden.<\/p>\n
What stands out here is the way the paving and planting are kept visually clear. There is room for movement, but also room for stillness: a chair near the water, a strip of lawn beside the terrace, a planting border that frames the edge. The villa with thatched roof becomes part of a larger exterior composition, where each surface helps define the next. The pool, terrace and lawn are not separate scenes; they belong to the same outdoor setting.<\/p>\n
Across the whole project, proportion matters more than added detail. The white walls stay plain, the glazing is dark and precise, and the thatched roof carries the strongest texture. Because the materials are limited, the massing becomes easier to read. The house shows how a modern country house can rely on roof shape, opening size and the spacing of volumes to create presence, without leaning on excess surface treatment.<\/p>\n
That clarity is visible from the garden and from closer range. The roof volumes step across the plan, the glass openings mark the lived-in parts of the villa, and the landscape gives the building breathing space. The project works through these visible moves: a roof that lowers the silhouette, glazing that opens the walls, and an outdoor area with lawn, terrace and pool that gives the house room to extend outward. In that sense, the villa with thatched roof is best read as one continuous composition.<\/p>\n
