The long roof plane pulls the eye across the site before the glazing takes over. Dark surfaces, precise joints and a restrained profile give the modern bungalow with strong lines<\/span> its rhythm. From a distance the house reads quietly; up close, the continuity of the detailing becomes clear. The facade seams keep running, the frames stay sharp, and the composition gains length from the wide wall and gate set exactly in line with the building.<\/p>\n

Long lines set the pace<\/h2>\n

The overall volume is modest in scale, but the layout stretches out in a way that feels deliberate. The dark roof planes sit low above the masonry, while the linear composition keeps the house from feeling compact. A long wall at the side and the broad gate at the entrance extend that direction even further. It is the kind of arrangement where the site boundary, the roof edge and the openings all seem to answer the same line.<\/p>\n

That attention to line carries through the envelope. The seams in the refined cladding continue from surface to surface, so the outer shell reads as one carefully resolved frame rather than a set of separate parts. The result is not about display. It is about control of proportion, the way a narrow edge can sharpen a volume, and how a simple opening can make the length of the house feel more pronounced.<\/p>\n

A strong stone feature wall anchors one part of the interior. Its rectangular shape gives the room a solid center, especially beside the lighter cabinetry and the open glass edges. The surface is plain enough to let the surrounding materials do their work. Wood, stone and glass keep appearing in different combinations, but nothing feels pasted on. Each element holds its place in the composition.<\/p>\n

The kitchen wall is drawn tight and flat, with integrated storage and a pared-back opening. It sits beneath the wooden ceiling like a quiet counterpoint to the larger glass planes elsewhere in the house. The black details above and the pale fronts below create a clear split, while the adjacent timber surfaces keep the room from becoming visually cold.
