Located in Willemstad, opposite a residence of Willem Van Oranje and surrounded by the green ramparts, is a 1970s villa transformed into a beautiful family home. The owners, a family with three small children, had a clear vision to transform this outdated property into their dream home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite their good taste and clear preferences, they struggled to translate their ideas into a cohesive interior. Working with Rotterdam architect Arjen Reas, we had the opportunity to design a complete plan for the house. Both the ground and upper floors, including children’s bedrooms and a second bathroom, were thoroughly renovated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The owners like a chic, dark style with a splash of color. This became the basis for the interior design, with dark oak as a recurring element throughout the house. To keep things from getting too heavy, we added a calm base of sand and greige tones, complemented by vibrant green accents and gold and brass details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanks to cooperation with specialized suppliers and craftsmen, we were able to realize this project down to the smallest details. The result is a cozy, warm and luxurious family home that is both comfortable and stylish. It is a place where the owners and their children can relax, read, watch movies and enjoy themselves. It is a home perfect for hosting friends for drinks at the large kitchen island or hosting family dinners at the large dining table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
