The flame is not tucked away; it sits in a niche and becomes part of the room-like setting beneath the cover. The canopy itself is fitted with light points, a heater and a television, which turns the covered zone into a space that behaves much like an interior room. These surfaces do not compete; they create a clear frame for the fireplace, the seating and the light points above.<\/p>\n
The use of white plaster walls with a stone capping adds another layer to that contrast. Their pale surface reflects daylight, while the darker bands and slats hold the composition down.
