Large glazing pulls the garden deep into the house, so the view becomes part of the room rather than something seen from the side. That sense of indoor-outdoor living<\/span> runs through the project from the first glance: light, greenery and textured surfaces sit close to one another, with no hard break between inside and out. The house does not rely on decoration to make that connection. Instead, it uses openings, surface changes and carefully placed materials to let the setting stay visible.<\/p>\n

indoor-outdoor living as the architectural starting point<\/h2>\n

Across the home, the walls carry an organic surface built from clay and earth-based layers with natural pigments. The effect is not polished or uniform; it has a hand-worked look that catches light differently from room to room. In some places the finish reads soft and powdery, in others it feels denser and more tactile. That variation gives the interior a steady visual rhythm, especially where white plaster, wood and stone meet at corners, reveals and ceiling lines.<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s approach to bringing nature inside<\/span> is clearest in those transitions. Rather than separating one finish from the next, the rooms let textures overlap: pale walls, visible timber, and rounded shadows under beams. The result is calm without becoming flat. It is the place where movement matters most, yet the finish still belongs to the rest of the interior. The passage does not read as an afterthought. Its texture and division make it part of the larger story told by the walls and floors elsewhere.<\/p>\n

That matters because this threshold is one of the few moments where the house has to shift quickly from inside to outside. The material choice keeps that shift legible. You can see the change in use without losing the visual thread that runs through the project. The opening stays plain, but the surface treatment gives it weight.<\/p>\n

Kitchen fronts with a pale mineral layer<\/h2>\n

The kitchen front panels are finished with a natural lime layer, and that surface softens the harder lines of the cabinetry. In the photographs, the finish sits beside a substantial stone worktop and exposed timber above, so the room is built from a small set of clear materials rather than from many competing ones. The stone brings mass to the horizontal plane, while the lime-treated fronts keep the storage volumes visually quiet. The seating area gains depth from the surrounding structure. Large openings keep the exterior in view, while the tables and fixed elements give the room a slower pace. The furniture does not try to compete with the architecture. It stays low and measured, letting the beams overhead and the light from outside remain the strongest visual elements.<\/p>\n

Several images show the same spatial move from different angles: a broad opening, a strong timber beam overhead, and greenery just beyond the glass. Each space adjusts the material mix to its own use, from the bathroom to the kitchen to the living room.<\/p>\n

That is what gives the whole house its clarity. The rooms are not made to look identical; they are linked by a shared palette and by the way light lands on each surface. Seen together, the finishes form a clear thread through the house: a sequence of walls, openings and built-in elements that keeps the garden close, the materials visible, and the interior grounded in texture.
