A dental practice had to be built on a narrow plot. The triangular shape of the site, the necessary slenderness and a view of the old town were anchor points for the basic concept. Steel construction in combination with a glass
curtain wall seemed like preferred building materials. The periodontist’s practice feels thin, more closed towards the street and unabashedly open towards the inner building block. An overhanging rear facade that rests on an old city wall / concrete base reinforces this feeling. Under the rear façade and next to the swimming pond in Corten steel, there is an outdoor shower hidden behind a stacco grille ceiling. Poly concrete from the inside to the outside strengthens the continuity between garden and building. Inside, the visitor is gently guided by light lines that shape and share the interior.
