Schellen Architecten

Modern villa Bonheiden

Schellen Architecten was given carte blanche for the design and realization of this minimalist and stylish villa in a wooded area. On the street side, a composition of four closed façade surfaces provides the necessary depth and the requested discretion. The different axes in the house end on spacious glass windows that each have different views of the garden. The pure design and the sleek interplay of architecture is consistently reflected in the design of the interior, the garden, the pool and the pool house.

Before reaching the actual entrance, the visitor passes an outer gate. This outdoor room ensures a gradual transition from the public to the private space. A water feature gives an extra dimension.

The generously glazed garden façade ensures optimum contact between inside and outside. Covered terraces and crossings provide the necessary protection against the rain and the midday sun.
Characteristic for this villa are the deeper wall surfaces that are covered with a specially glued natural stone.

The architecture of the pool house and the garden design of Avant Garden fit seamlessly into the house. The swimming pool provides a relaxing holiday feeling. The walls of the pool are made of white ceramic plates. The surrounding terraces in ipé wood fit seamlessly with the wide parquet planks in the interior.
